Get Engaged in ICANN: A Workshop for Registrars and Prospective Registrars
On 26 January 2019, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) will be conducting a day-long training called "Get Engaged in ICANN: A Workshop for Registrars and Prospective Registrars" in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The training session will take place immediately prior to NamesCon, the largest annual domain-industry conference, attracting professionals from around the world. See below for the agenda.
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers is a stakeholder-driven organization where registrars and registry operators shape the future of the domain name marketplace, developing ICANN policies that directly affect their businesses. This interactive workshop will increase participants' knowledge of ICANN's inner workings, from ICANN contractual compliance to what's next in ICANN policy development. Registrars and thought leaders will share operational advice around domain renewals, transfers, data escrow, and other practices. Bring your questions and opinions to this learning and networking opportunity, open to ICANN-accredited registrars and others who may be interested in learning more about how obtaining a registrar accreditation would affect their businesses.
